Mrs. Mary Ann Killings-Sims, the daughter of Will Johnson and Oddie Rea Killings Johnson was born in Donaldsonville Hospital on July 16, 1965. She departed life on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at her home in Ellenwood, Ga.
She grew up in Bainbridge, Ga., attended the Decatur County School System and joined Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. As an adult, she and her son Terrance William Killings later moved to Decatur, Ga. with her sister Linda. In Decatur, Ga.,she met her husband Terry Sims and they later moved to Ellenwood, Ga. Mary was determined and earned her high school diploma and later earned an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. She worked at the Ellenwood Kroger’s for years as a deli supervisor until she became disabled.
Mary was a loving wife and mother. She loved her family and loved spending time with her family. She had a smile that would like light up a house and usually shared her house with friends and family members. Shehad some special bonds with her nieces, great-nieces,nephews and great-nephews and it was nothing for her to come get them to spend the some summers, months, and years with her. She loved her music and was a bigbig fan of Keith Sweat. She was always jazzy, classy, loved her fashion and always getting her nails and hair done. She also enjoyed making jewelry and adult coloring books.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Will Johnson and Oddie Rea Killings Johnson; grandparents, Will Killings and Trudie Killings; Eva Johnson; 3 brothers, Eddie Worthy, Henry Johnson, and Willie Lee Johnson; 3 sisters, Geraldine Carlton, Eva Johnson, Bertha Johnson; aunt, Lucy Handsford; uncles, AZ Handsford and Cleveland Killings, and a nephew and Godson Micheal S. Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Sims (Ellenwood); son, Terrance Killings (Ellenwood); 3 sisters: Linda (Willie) Decatur, Ga., Letha (Kenneth) and Marion Bush both of Bainbridge; nieces, Jamie, Shamika, Toniette, Vivian, Malinda, Shasta, Lorraine, Katina; nephews, Sidney, Joe, Davarrio, Rodriquez, Corey, Derrick, Eric, and Anthony; a host of great nieces and great nephews; cousins; Vivian Wooten and Angela Robinson Neal and a host of cousins; a special friend, Cynthia Middleton Green and a host of other friends and relatives.
