Mrs. Nora Lee Fluitt Roan was born February 6th 1936 to the late Ardenary Fluitt and Lucille Mitchell in Thomasville, GA. She accepted Christ at a young age and had a strong Christian faith and belief. She was united in holy Matrimony to the late Junior Roan and during their union ten children were born.
They moved to Miami, Fla for several years until her husband retirement, after then they returned back to Attapulgus, Ga. She really enjoyed spending time with her family during gatherings, cooking, fishing, planting a vegetable garden, and most of all planting her flowers.
Mrs. Nora always provided a listening ear to many people in her community, some even called her “boss lady”. Her smile always lit up any room she entered. One word of advise that will always resonate was, “Put it in GOD’S hand and leave it there”. She continued to be strong until she was called to her heavenly home.
She was proceeded in death by her parents: Ardenary Fluitt and Lucille Mitchell, husband Junior Roan, sons James Roan, Curtis Roan and Timothy Roan and daughter Fannie Yates.
She leaves to cherish her many memories: two daughters Christine Roan and Cassandra Underwood, four sons Willie Roan, Richard Roan, Bobby Roan and Alexander Roan (Jacinta), sister in laws, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. Her special grand daughter Wahkitha R. Campbell (Travis), grandchildren Tazwa (Tykira), Travis Jr., Takemia, and Tamara.
